Process analysis

Process analysis on site – before anything is automated.

We interview, observe and map the current state. You get a described process, volumes, exceptions, system dependencies and decision support. The analysis can end without an implementation purchase.

01

What the analysis contains

The analysis is designed to produce decision support, not a finished solution. Every part should be traceable and open to challenge.

Current state

Start, end, owner, volume, frequency, lead time and active work time. We separate what is known, what is measured and what is a hypothesis.

Interviews and observation

We talk to the people doing the work and see how it actually happens – not only how the process is documented.

Exceptions and errors

Where do waiting, rework, duplicates and manual corrections occur? The exceptions often decide the automation.

Systems and data

Which systems, APIs, files and permissions exist? Which master data is stable and which is uncertain?

Decision support

Identified improvement and automation opportunities, rough value, risk, dependencies and the recommended next step.

Scope

What the analysis covers – and what it does not. No promised savings before the baseline is verified.

02

How it works

  1. 01

    Preparation

We read existing descriptions and agree on questions, roles and timeline.

  2. 02

    Interviews and observation

We meet the process owner and practitioners, follow the work and collect evidence.

  3. 03

    Analysis

We compile the flow, volumes, exceptions, systems and improvement opportunities.

  4. 04

    Presentation and decision

You get a written report and a walkthrough. The next step is a separate decision.

03

What you get – and what you contribute

Deliverables

  • Process description with start, end, owner and steps.
  • Volume, lead time, active work time and known exceptions.
  • System, data and permission dependencies.
  • Identified improvement and automation opportunities with risk and rough value.
  • Written report and oral walkthrough.
  • A recommended next step – or a reasoned decision not to proceed.

Customer participation

  • A named process owner who can decide on interviews and scope.
  • Practitioners and specialists for the moments to be understood.
  • Access to existing process descriptions, screenshots and reports.
  • Optional read access to systems – never production changes during the analysis.
  • Time for the presentation and decision.
04

Scope, time and price

A process analysis normally covers one process or a defined sub-flow. The effort depends on the number of interviews, geography and how much material already exists. We therefore state scope and price after a short review – not as a fixed price for every case.

The analysis can end without an implementation purchase. If you later want to continue, the next step is a separately scoped automation with its own calculation and decision.

Not included: implementation, system changes, data migration, legal assessments or a guarantee of savings. Those require their own scope and mandate.
