Simon's Take
After using all three daily for över a year, my recommendation is clear: Claude for professional work, ChatGPT for general use, Gemini for Google-centric workflows.
If you write code, analyze data, or produce technical content, Claude's reasoning quality is noticeably superior. The 1M token context window and Claude Code CLI have fundamentally changed how I work with large codebases.
ChatGPT remains the most well-rounded option with the broadest feature set - image generation, web browsing, voice, plugins. For non-technical users or teams that need one tool for everything, it is still the safe choice.
Gemini is the value play. Google's aggressive pricing on Flash makes it attractive for high-volume API use cases, and the native Workspace integration is genuinely useful if your organization lives in Google's ecosystem.
The real answer? Most professionals should subscribe to at least two. I use Claude as my primary and ChatGPT for image generation and quick web searches. The $40/month total is easily justified by the hours saved.
